I’m pausing New World Same Humans for Christmas! Before I go, one last message.
A huge thank you for being a part of this community in 2020 🙏
It’s been a wild first year. I started this newsletter back in January, determined to examine the trends, ideas, and innovations reshaping our shared future. We all know what happened next. Eleven months later, the mission that NWSH is on feels more urgent than ever.
The first note was sent on 25 January. Since then:
47 instalments of the Sunday essay
17 instalments of New Week Same Humans, a mid-week flash of news and analysis
363 members inside our Slack group, which launched in September
15,710 subscribers across Substack and LinkedIn
I’ve loved every part of NWSH 2020. But the best part by far? The chance to correspond with, and get to know, so many of you. Our community is full of smart, curious, and generous people. It’s been a huge privilege.
I’m so excited by what we can do together next year. There will be new kinds of content. And new ways for us to come together: online, and in-person.
In January we’ll embark on the New World Manifesto: our project to articulate a set of core principles that should guide us all as we rebuild in the 2020s. The pandemic is a crisis. But it’s also an opportunity to shape a better world. I hope we can make our collective voice heard in the broader conversation.
And that we can continue to forge the best online community for all those – founders, innovators, designers, marketers, policy makers and more – committed to building a brighter shared future.
It only remains to wish you a very happy holiday season! 🎄🎁🕯️
I’ll meet you back here on Sunday 10 January. And together, we’ll forge forwards into 2021.
Until then,
David.
